Live SPP hub prices
Real-time prices at SPP's North and South trading hubs, updated as five-minute intervals settle. When the hubs spread apart, the lines between the wind belt and the load are running full. The live dashboard shows the load and the fuel mix behind these prices.

What prices are these?
Real-time locational marginal prices at SPP's two trading hubs, North and South, in dollars per megawatt-hour, five-minute resolution. This is the wholesale price load settles against, not a retail rate.
Why do the hubs differ?
Transmission constraints. SPP runs one market from the Dakotas to Oklahoma, and the wind lives mostly in the north and west while the load sits south and east. When the lines between them fill, the two hubs separate, and strong wind nights can pull the North Hub toward zero or below.
